About Tomhill Studio

Foundation

It is not enough to say that as a design company Tomhill studio will respond to the client's needs and desires. That is, simply, the starting point for every designer. A Tomhill studio design is one that incorporates these needs and desires using strong architectural principles to create a highly-designed concept that is polished, clever, layered, and often includes an unexpected element. We specialize in timeless designs that lean towards transitional and contemporary design styles but always respond to individual aesthetics and each unique property.

Meet the Team

Meredith Tomlin.Hilliard

Meredith maintains a detailed and well edited aesthetic to her designs. Graduating from a highly architectural program, Meredith started her design career working in the corporate and healthcare fields in Western Canada before moving to Boston in 1999. In 2005 Meredith launched Tomhill studio to take on her true passion of residential interiors. Having owned an antique shop for 9 years, there is also a deep appreciation for well-crafted, and unique art and furnishings. Now nearly two decades later, Meredith's designs showcase tailored interiors that are comfortable, timeless, and reflect a discerning clientele. Each design is conceived individually whether it is an elegant urban residence or a casual vacation retreat but always with an intelligent integration to the architecture.

Brian Hilliard

Brian has over 25 years of professional experience with a variety of project types, including high density and single family residential, urban design and planning, K-12 and higher education, as well as corporate and commercial design work. Applying his strong design and space programming skills to interactions with engineering and other disciplines, Brian is dedicated to finding opportunities for quality design at every stage of a project. Growing up on a small farm in Vermont and as the son of a wooden boat builder, Brian has a unique, conscientious approach to design and construction and a strong regard for the balance of the built environment. Brian received bachelor’s and master of architecture degrees from Montana State University, where he also enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking. Outside the office Brian also enjoys traveling with his wife and young son, renovating their house, or tinkering in the garage on vintage European cars.
